The improvisational comedy troupe O.U. Improv! (Obviously Unrehearsed Improv!) will give a public performance in the Lowry Room at the Norman Public Library, 225 N. Webster Ave., at 7 p.m. March 24.
The show, "Improv at the Evening," is free but seating is limited and tickets are required. Tickets are available at the Adult Information Services Desk at the library and from troupe members while supplies last.
Refreshments will be served at the event which is geared toward a teen and adult audience.?The presentation is the first of a series of after-hours programs planned for the library. For more information about "Improv at the Evening," call Rebecca Spence at the library, 701-2681. For information about O.U.Improv!, visit their website at www.ouimprov.com .
O.U. Improv! performers specialize in short-form improvisations like those featured on the TV show "Whose Line Is It, Anyway?" Audience participation is encouraged. Performances last about an hour and half and include a 5-minute intermission midway through the show. Some content may not be suitable for everyone.
The student improvisational comedy troupe began four years ago and now performs at more than 100 events a year. O.U. Improv! usually performs only once a month on campus, always on a Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Oklahoma Memorial Union. The troupe has conducted several workshops for teens at the library. This will be the group's first public program presented in the library.
