Street and holiday closings

NORMAN — The City Traffic Control Division will replace the traffic signal controller cabinet at the Lindsey Street intersection with McGee Drive Wednesday, weather permitting.  After 9 a.m., the intersection will be controlled by a 4-way stop sign. Signal operation should be restored before noon.  This cabinet replacement is needed to fully support the recently installed flashing yellow arrows at the intersection.  The on-going flashing yellow arrow project is part of an ongoing $300,000 project, funded with 100 percent Federal Safety funds, to upgrade a total of 57 intersections within the city to flashing yellow arrows.
