NORMAN — Oklahoma’s 2013 recruiting class continues to sputter. On Thursday, it dropped down to 14 verbal commitments after Tulsa Union lineman Dalton Rodriguez announced on Twitter he has changed his commitment from OU to Tulsa.
“Just decommited from OU and now im going to TU! It was a decision that was best for me!" Rodriguez wrote.
Rodriguez is a three-star recruit with Rivals and ESPN. He was a defensive end at Tulsa Union, but OU was recruiting him as an offensive lineman.
It was a blow to OU’s recruiting class because it now doesn’t have a commitment from any defensive tackles or offensive linemen with eight weeks left until National Signing Day.
