NORMAN — When Oklahoma City traded James Harden to Houston, most fans only looked at the Thunder getting Kevin Martin and draft picks in return.
But one of the key components of the deal was getting first-round pick Jeremy Lamb also.
Lamb was not expected to help with the Thunder this year and has played sparingly thorough 15 games. That is why Thursday the Thunder has assigned Lamb to the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League.
Lamb has appeared in eight games this season averaging 2.1 points in 4.3 minutes. He will join Daniel Orton and DeAndre Liggins, who were sent down last week.
Lamb will be in uniform today when the Tulsa 66ers take on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at the SpiritBank Event Center.
