Woman dies after stabbing at OKC bus station

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma City police say a woman has died after being stabbed at a Metro Transit bus station in downtown Oklahoma City. Police say a suspect is in custody.

Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow says the woman was stabbed at about 10:15 a.m. Thursday inside the station about five blocks from the police department. Wardlow says the woman was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Wardlow says a Metro Transit security guard took a male suspect into custody. She said the motive for the stabbing was not known and no names have been released.

Wardlow says there were several people inside the station at the time and that they’re being questioned by detectives.

The station is a transfer hub for riders of the metro area’s public transportation system.
