After a slow start, Oklahoma showed what its depth was truly capable of Sunday at Lloyd Noble Center.
The Sooners’ 85-51 victory over Louisiana-Monroe was a matter of overwhelming an opponent on both ends of the floor.
Steven Pledger led the way with 15 points on 5-for-9 shooting from 3-point range. Amath M’Baye and Andrew Fitzgerald finished 12 points apiece. Freshman guard Je’lon Hornbeak tossed in 10.
OU coach Lon Kruger used his entire bench with 10 players playing at least 14 minutes.
The Sooners’ bench outscored Louisiana-Monroe 37-14. It was the bench that sparked OU on a 15-2 run midway through the first half that broke the game open.
