While it's a rule set by Mike Gundy that first-year players in the Oklahoma State football program are not allowed to talk to the media, apparently freshman quarterback Wes Lunt isn't much for talking anyway.
"At this point, he's in a close race with Kendall Hunter for 'who talks the least during their career'," Gundy said. "I'm going to guess he's pretty cerebral and he understands and he pays attention. He just doesn't talk much."
Though Gundy doesn't get much from Lunt in the verbal aspect, the OSU coach said he sees plenty from his true freshman quarterback concerning how he approaches the game.
"I felt like he studied tape like he was going to play against Texas. So that would be a sign that he's in tune pretty well," Gundy said.
As far as Gundy talking about who will be his starting quarterback, he's right there with Hunter and Lunt, too. The OSU coaching staff is keeping it tight-lipped as to whether Lunt could be back for Saturday's game at Kansas, or if J.W. Walsh will start his second straight game.
