Norman credit union robbed

NORMAN — Approximately $2,500 was taken by a man on foot during a bank robbery around 3:30 p.m. today at the Communication Federal Credit Union, 300 SE 12th Ave. in Norman.

Norman Police Department Lt. Jay Callaghan said bank employees reported a man walked into the bank and passed a note demanding money.

No one was injured during the incident.

The incident is currently being investigated by members of the Norman Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and the FBI.

The alleged suspect is described as a middle-aged African-American male, approximately 6 feet tall and approximately 150 pounds. The man was described as wearing a black ball cap with an unknown multi-colored design, black jacket, white T-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
