Brookhaven Baptist Church hosts neighborhood yard sale

NORMAN — Brookhaven Baptist Church will host a neighborhood yard sale from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and Saturday at 4301 Country Club Terrace. The church welcomes anyone in the community to bring their gently used items to resale or to purchase items.

Anyone interested in participating can call Jim Hoipkemier at 762-6219 or Brookhaven Baptist Church at 321-0398 to reserve their spot.

“This yard sale offers the community a way to sell their unwanted items in an easy, no hassle environment,” said Hoipkemier, pastor of Brookhaven Baptist Church. “In addition, neighbors have the opportunity to give back to the community by donating their unsold items to two great causes in Norman, Donate a Miracle and Mission Norman.”

Vendors get to keep the earnings made and choose whether or not they would like to donate any unsold items to either Donate a Miracle or Mission Norman.

Donate a Miracle is a family owned business that sells gently used items. The profits made are used to help national charitable organizations.

Mission Norman began in 1997 and is a nonprofit organization that serves the Norman community. Volunteers organize Bible studies in various housing communities and provide food once a month to individuals and families in need. Mission Norman accepts a variety of donations including clothes, furniture and toiletries.
