No students hurt as school bus collides with vehicle near Alcott Middle School

A morning accident involving a Norman Public School bus and a private vehicle sent one driver to the hospital but left the students unharmed Wednesday.

Bertha Gonzalez, 33, suffered injuries to her arm and was transported to the hospital after her 2002 Chevy Blazer rolled and landed upside-down following a collision with the bus.

The rollover accident occured at the intersection of Garrison Ave. and Windsor Way Dr., near Alcott Middle School. Garrison wasclosed until approximately 10 a.m.

Gonzalez’ vehicle sustained extensive damage, the bus sustained minor damage and police reports confirm the students and driver on the bus, James Quincy Harris, Jr., were not hurt.
