NORMAN — Early voting for Moore Norman Technology Center, Norman School Board, and Moore School District starts Friday at at the Cleveland County Election Board, 641 E. Robinson, Norman. Voting will run from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday and Monday.
Early voters also known asin-person absentee voters, fill out an application form and will be assisted by Election Board staff.
“They are not required to state a reason for voting in-person absentee,” Cleveland County Election Board Secretary Jim Williams said. “They are required to swear that they have not voted a regular mail absentee ballot and that they will not vote at their polling places on Election Day.”
According to Williams, the Absentee Voting Board verifies a voter’s registration information, checks the voter’s identification, and then issues the voter’s ballot. The voter marks the ballot in a voting booth and then puts it into the voting device.
“It is very much like voting at a precinct polling place,” said Williams.
During early voting, drive-through voting assistance will also be available for voters who are not physically able to enter the polling place.
