Sunbelt a blast

By Jeff Johncox
The Norman Transcript

“We’re very excited, we’re ready to play and eager to win,” Smith said. “The best part is that you get to play this level of competition from all across the country. There are guys who are going to be going off to college and guys who are going to be playing here next year.”

Team Oklahoma was represented by Norman North’s Chris Ellison and Chickasha’s Kennedy Winn, both of whom failed to go deep or score a point.

Smith and Team Texas play Georgia at L. Dale Mitchell Park today at 4 p.m. and then take on Ohio at Norman North’s Tull Lake Park at 7 p.m. Team Oklahoma plays Arizona at North at 4 p.m. and Maryland at L. Dale Mitchell Park at 7 p.m.
