Students must be 4-years-old on or before Sept. 1. Morning sessions are 8-10:30 a.m. and afternoon sessions are 12:15-2:45 p.m.
Transportation will not be provided under any circumstances. Classes are taught by certified early childhood teachers and a teacher assistant, with a maximum class size of 20 students. Norman Public Schools pre-kindergarten program fosters all areas of development: intellectual, language, physical and social, emotional within an active, appropriate early childhood environment. This early learning opportunity uses play and hands-on materials as a means of discovering and learning concepts that are of high interest to this age group. Requirements for enrolling are two proofs of residency, a copy of an official birth certificate and current immunization records. Should parents have questions about any aspect of the program or the enrollment procedures, they can call the Norman Public Schools Early Childhood Director's office, 573-3548.
