NORMAN — Kacy Schlener, 23-year- old OU graduate and new business owner will launch her first business, Oklahoma Home Help Services, LLC (a franchise of Texas Home Help Services LLC) on Monday.
Schlener will serve Norman, Oklahoma City, Edmond and surrounding areas.
The purpose of Oklahoma Home Help Services, LLC is to provide a networking service that allows clients to call requesting services at a set hourly rate either on a regular or irregular basis.
“We guarantee to provide a skilled contract worker at our client’s requested location within 24 hours,” Schlener said. “Our guaranteed services are clutter organization, lawn mowing, dog sitting, house sitting, event set up/clean up, laundry/ironing, car washing, house cleaning, packing, seasonal decorating, elderly companionship, grocery shopping, cooking, basic lawn care, and food serving.”
Schlener said the company’s mission is to provide a large range of services for home and event tasks.
An annual membership is available at the rate of $30 per month —$25 for the first 30 clients. In return, clients are provided with a contract worker who can perform a variety of tasks that are Oklahoma HHS approved.
The client is responsible for providing the contract worker with any and all materials to complete a task. The client also agrees to pay the contract worker $10 per hour of work, with a $30 minimum per visit or, in the case of pet sitting and house sitting a $10 minimum per visit.
Another option to sign up for a one month, or month-to-month, for clients who or moving or relocating. The client using these services will pay $50 per month.
Other plans target corporate accounts, realtors and people with multiple properties.
Contract Workers are personally interviewed by Schlener. Additionally, each contract worker must be cleared of any felony or misdemeanor charges and must pass an in-depth background check.
