NORMAN — Webb is Passionately Pink

The Webb in the Carriage Plaza on Main Street is hosting its 3rd annual “Passionately Pink Party” from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 18 in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. This event includes champagne and cupcakes, gifts with purchase,drawings for prizes and guilt-free shopping since a portion of the sales that day will be donated to Oklahoma Breast Care Center. The Webb has chosen to keep its donation local . Funds will go directly to “Project Woman” which provides mammograms to women who cannot afford one. Lee Ann Looman, owner of The Webb, has a personal passion for this event as her sister-in-law, Jane Webb is a breast cancer survivor.

Medical Data Privacy Training

This presentation on protecting medical data under HIPAA will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at Moore Norman Technology Center, South Penn Campus Room P111, 13301 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Oklahoma City. The class includes discussion of protection methods for both paper and electronic medical records, and cites examples of protection successes and failures. Tuition $19 per person.

Crowe & Dunlevy turns 110

In 2012, Crowe & Dunlevy marks 110 years of client service in Oklahoma. The firm was founded in 1902, making it one of the oldest in the state. It is also one of the largest law firms in Oklahoma, with offices in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Norman.

 Over the past 110 years, Crowe & Dunlevy has grown to more than 130 lawyers, representing clients in all aspects of the general practice of law, including complex business transactions, litigation in state and federal courts, natural resource law and alternative dispute resolution. The firm will celebrate by making donations to several community groups throughout the remainder of the year.
