NORMAN — Norman Regional Health System financial report: For the month of November, operating performance declined from October due primarily to lower than expected Outpatient Surgery and Outpatient Cath Lab volumes. This resulted in Total Patient revenue and Net Patient revenue both being 5 percent below October levels.
This coupled with the Meaningful Use revenue of almost $3 million recognized in October explains the decrease in net operating income from $2.6 million in October to a loss of $598,000 in November. Non-operating income was above expectations resulting in overall net income for the month of $128,500 which was $635,200 below budget.
For the year-to-date period July - November, net income from operations was $6.2 million below budget while non-operating income was above budget by $1.3 million; combined, this resulted in overall net income for the period of $2.5 million being $4.9 million below budget.
