Today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders

NORMAN — The Norman Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the 2014 Tomorrow’s Leaders program.

High school sophomores can find applications through the counselor’s offices at Community Christian School, Little Axe High School, Norman High School and Norman North High School.

Applications also are available at the Chamber offices, 115 E. Gray St., or at Applications are due to the chamber offices by 5 p.m. Dec. 5.

The Tomorrow’s Leaders program is designed to identify sophomores in the Norman area who have demonstrated leadership qualities and to help further develop their potential.

The program begins in January and will include nine sessions. The program concludes in April in a joint graduation ceremony with members of Leadership Norman.

John Davenport, Primrose Funeral Services, and Carlee Jacks, McClain Bank, will co-chair the program. Davenport is a graduate of the 2011 Leadership Norman class and served as co-chair of Tomorrow’s Leaders this past year. Jacks also is a graduate of the 2011 Leadership Norman class.
