NORMAN — Fresh look and hip styles now available at the Norman outlet
Like girlfriends gossiping about a pal’s cute, new boyfriend, consumers are certain to be sharing the news about the evolution of one of Norman’s most popular discount stores.
The grand unveiling of the newly remodeled Old Navy in Sooner Mall was a relatively quiet affair on Friday morning, but the bright new look, shopper-friendly displays and increased assortment of merchandise is sure to be make noise around town.
The new packaging is a result of the Gap, Inc owned company’s Project ONE — ONE for Old Navy Evolution. The repackaging is designed to reel customers back in who may have drifted off to the latest shopping flavor of the month.
The Norman store stayed open throughout the revitalization.
“We started construction in June,” said store manager Angela Wilkins.
The store was downsized during the construction process and as changes have been revealed, customer feedback has been positive.
“The new look has more of a boutique, intimate setting,” Wilkins said.
With feedback from managers and customers, the Project ONE revitalization has continued to be revamped.
“How could we make your shopping experience better?” Wilkins said is the question Old Navy asked.
The warehouse look is gone.
The new design provides better navigation to basic products. Items are easy to find. Displays have more light and a cleaner look.
Shoppers also will have more choice than before.
“We have more assortment now,” Wilkins said.
The store specializes in active wear of basics like jeans, tanks, tees and hoodies but the wide array of colors and styles make these primary wardrobe picks look anything but plain.
“The September line is jewel tones,” Wilkins said.
Families can find one stop shopping at Old Navy with clothes for infants, children, teens and adults. College students and active grandparents will also find wardrobe staples.
The Sooner Mall Old Navy celebrated its unveiling this weekend with lots of bargains continuing through today. Look for more surprises each month, Wilkins said, as the store continues to roll out an assortment of seasonal clothing staples.
