HomeGoods announces grand opening

NORMAN — HomeGoods, the country’s only major off-price store dedicated to home fashions, will open a new store Sept. 29 in Norman.

The 25,000-square-foot store is at University Town Center at 24th Avenue Northwest and Rock Creek Road. In honor of the grand opening and to support the Norman community, HomeGoods will donate $5,000 to Infant Crisis Services Inc., an organization that provides formula, food and diapers to babies and toddlers in times of crisis.

On grand opening day, the first 1,000 shoppers at the Norman location will receive free, reusable HomeGoods shopping bags.

“We are excited to open a new HomeGoods in Norman and offer shoppers high-quality fashions for the home at amazing values,” said Ken Canestrari, president of HomeGoods. “The new Norman store will feature an always-changing, exciting selection of the designer and brand-name home fashions shoppers love, along with unique finds from all around the world, at significant savings.”

HomeGoods will support the Norman community by hiring store management and associates from the local area. The Norman store is expected to fill approximately 60 full- and part-time positions.

HomeGoods merchandise offerings include furniture, rugs, lamps, kitchen and dining, bedding and bath, kids décor, toys, pet, storage and much more.

The stores offer a liberal 30-day return policy, accept all major credit cards and offer gift cards for purchase.

Regular store hours are 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Special grand opening day hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
