NORMAN — Frontier Country Marketing Association’s inaugural Oklahoma Wine Walk on Nov. 2 at Brookhaven Village shopping district in Norman was considered a great success with more than 1,000 people in attendance to enjoy a day of Oklahoma wine tasting.

The wine walk featured 10 wineries from across the state set up underneath tents in a festival-type atmosphere. Patrons tasted selections from the Oklahoma wineries, browsed outdoor booths with genuine wine collectibles and made-in-Oklahoma products and listened to live music from Oklahoma entertainers including the SongWriters Association of Norman, North Meets South and the Sooner Theatre.

“For a first-time event, it exceeded our expectations in every aspect,” said Sherri Rogers, executive director of Frontier Country Marketing Association. “The weather was perfect and visitors continued to pour in even as the event was coming to a close. We hope and think the Oklahoma Wine Walk will be a place for everyone to enjoy Oklahoma wine, music, food and fun for years to come.”

During the event, patrons voted on their favorite Oklahoma wines. Winners of the categories included:
