NORMAN — Scratch opening pushed back

The Moore tornado threw a few deliveries off schedule and slowed down some contractors causing a delay in the opening of Scratch in downtown Norman. The restaurant plans to open June 7.

Walmart hiring

for new market

Walmart will hire up to 95 associates to work at the new Walmart Neighborhood Market slated to open this summer in Norman. A temporary hiring center has opened at 2203 W. Main St., Suite 4.

University teams take top place

Teams from the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University were named first-place winners in both Graduate and Undergraduate divisions of the Donald W. Reynolds Tri-State collegiate business plan competition here Tuesday night.

FieldFocus from OU was named Undergraduate Division winner, while Roll-to-Roll Technologies from OSU was named Graduate Division winner. Each team won $30,000. The Tri-State is a business plan competition featuring the top two winning teams in Graduate and Undergraduate Divisions from Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup competitions in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Nevada.


Deeds only $1

Property Transfer Services is sending out letters trying to sell copies of deeds to homeowners for $83 each. Property owners can obtain a copies of deeds from the Cleveland County Clerk’s office for $1 each. Certified Copies are $3 each. Property Transfer Services is not affiliated with Cleveland County or any other government agency.
