Centennial Realtors joins Weichert Real Estate Affiliates

NORMAN — Centennial Realtors, a growing Norman realty firm formed in 2007 by two longtime Norman Realtors, has joined Weichert Real Estate Affiliates as the first franchise in Oklahoma for the expanding national brand.

The announcement was made this week by Centennial brokers Tony Graham and Andy Newman. Graham and Newman are now the independent owners and operators of newly named Weichert Realtors — Centennial at 360 24th Avenue NW, Suite 126.

The partners made the transition “to make us more competitive and offer more to our agents,” said Graham, who is managing broker of the agency.

“Because of the tremendous investment that technology requires and to keep up to date and provide the best service to our customers and clients, this is something that we needed to do,” Graham said.

Weichert has 160 company-owned offices and more than 250 franchised offices in 38 states. Combined, the offices have nearly 25,000 agents. They are one of the top relocation companies in the nation, Graham said.

“That’s one of the big advantages. We never had access to a relocation network before,” he said. “They didn’t have an affiliate in Oklahoma, so any relocation business would go to someone else. Now, we have an opportunity here.”

Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, a division of Weichert Realtors in Morris Plains, N.J., is now in its 11th year as home to a growing roster of independently owned and operated offices across country.

Recent news about the brand’s rise since launching its first affiliate in 2002 is the No. 2 ranking by Entrepreneur magazine among all other competitors in the real estate category in the “Entrepreneur 2013 Franchise 500” list, an annual ranking of America’s top franchise opportunities.
