Through its first thirty years, the Norman Public Schools Foundation has put $1.5 million back into Norman’s schools. This year the Foundation will make over $100,000 in grants to teachers to improve and enhance public schools in Norman. Norman schools are educating quality students and preparing them for productive lives in the future.
It’s still appropriate to sing the song “Kansas City” in 2014. But everything’s up to date now in Norman, not Kansas City, Missouri. Long live the musical “Oklahoma.”
Dr. Frank Smist was the first Carl Albert Fellow at the University of Oklahoma and Ryan Chapman is a senior at Norman North High School and will be attending the University of Oklahoma next year as a member of the Honors College.
