Veterans job fair Thursday
The military-to-civilian recruiting firm, RecruitMilitary, will present a free job fair for job seekers who have military backgrounds in Oklahoma City 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday at the Coca-Cola Bricktown Events Center.
RecruitMilitary urges all job seekers — veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves and military spouses — to attend.
The event will be the 18th of 104 RecruitMilitary Career Fairs scheduled for 2008. RecruitMilitary will produce another career fair in Oklahoma City July 31.
More than 20 veteran-friendly organizations will conduct one-on-one interviews with the job seekers. Organizations will include corporate employers, law-enforcement agencies and other government employers, educational institutions, veterans service agencies and veterans associations.
Venture Forum

The Oklahoma Venture Forum will host Dr. Michael Thompson, CEO of Swing Dynamics Inc., Simon Aleman, CEO of Breeze Legal Software LLC, and Robert Hummel, CEO of Cavitech LLC, at its Wednesday luncheon meeting.
The Forum, a non-profit organization formed in 1987 to encourage economic development in Oklahoma, meets 11:45 a.m. in the Presbyterian Health Foundation Research Park Conference Center, 655 Research Parkway.
Cost is $25 for non-members and guests. Reservations are requested for guests and can be made by calling Mindy Young at 341-6545.
Business After Hours March 18
The next Norman Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event will be 5:15 to 7:30 p.m. March 18 at Andy Alligator’s Fun Park, 3300 Market Place.
The event is sponsored by Andy Alligator’s and First Bank and Trust Co. It is free to all chamber members and guests.
