First American Bank
opens ninth banking center
First American Bank has opened its newest location at 10731 S. Western Ave. in South Oklahoma City’s Meadowlake Farm Addition. It is the ninth full-service location for the locally owned bank. Others are in Norman, Goldsby, Taloga, Woodward, Moore, Purcell and Maysville.
The bank building was designed by Mark Krittenbrink of Krittenbrink Architecture LLC with civil engineering design by SMC Engineers of Oklahoma City. The general contractor is Precision Builders Inc. of Norman.
The bank is traditional in style and consists of 3,900 square feet of floor space, which includes loan offices, new account offices, teller stations, a vault with safe deposit boxes, a break room and workroom. There are four drive-through lanes with an additional lane designated for an ATM.
First American Bank was chartered in 1935 and is owned by the Mayes family. Jim McAuley is chairman of the board and CEO. Sharon McCoy will serve as the administrative officer. Chasity Oen, vice president, will be the lending officer for the new banking center.
President Neil P. Schemmer has announced the grand opening will be April 4. Ribbon cutting will take place at 3 p.m. followed by an open house 3-7 p.m. The public is invited for refreshments and prize drawings.

Conference July 23
The 2008 Oklahoma Data Conference will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 23 at Moore Norman Technology Conference Center, SW 134th Avenue and South Pennsylvania Avenue, Oklahoma City.
Cost is $25 per person. Registration fee includes materials and lunch.
