— Clint Simonton has joined McClain Bank as mortgage originator at the bank's Norman location.
Prior to joining McClain Bank, Simonton worked in mortgage banking for a number of years for Bank of the West and JP Morgan Chase.
Simonton graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's of science degree in public relations. He lives in Lindsay with his wife Sara Beth and his three children.

Cleary Building Corp. recently announced Rod Lanier, branch manager of the Norman sales and construction office, has received his master's of branch administration certification from Steel Wood University.
Steel Wood University is a training program designed to teach new and veteran employees the fundamentals of success at Cleary Building Corp. The week-long course includes training on leadership, accountability and customer service.

Norman Emergency Management Coordinator David Grizzle was elected parliamentarian of the Oklahoma Emergency Management Association.
Moore Emergency Management Director Gayland Kitch was selected as the organization's central area vice president.

John Q. Hammons Hotels -- Resorts recently announced Sara Furr has been named senior sales manager for The Embassy Suites -- Norman Hotel -- Convention Center under construction on 24th Avenue NW, north of Robinson Street.
A new sales office has opened at 2501 Conference Drive and is accepting reservations in advance of the hotel's Fall 2008 opening.
The hotel is scheduled to have a topping-off ceremony in November.
