NORMAN — Drug trafficking

An Oklahoma City man was charged with trafficking in illegal drugs Tuesday in Cleveland County District Court after police found about 29 grams of cocaine in his primary residence.

Michael David Kennemer, 30, was arrested in September after Oklahoma City police made a traffic stop. During the stop, about 29 grams of cocaine fell from his person, another two bags weighing about an ounce each were found in the vehicle and $755 was found on his person, according to the probable cause affidavit.

In a separate affidavit, an OCPD inspector and FBI task force officer found more cocaine, as well as other items, after obtaining search warrants of Kennemer’s residence and rented storage spaces.

The search resulted in 29 grams of cocaine and two loaded firearms found at Kennemer’s residence, a bottle of liquid codeine with a torn-off prescription label in one of the storage units and a 2010 Dodge Charger that was used by Kennemer during the course of the investigation to transport and conceal illegal drugs, the affidavit said.

Man hit with seven charges

Seven charges of distributing a controlled dangerous substance were filed against an Oklahoma City man Tuesday in Cleveland County District Court.

Joshua James Villegas, 23, allegedly distributed methamphetamines twice near Briarwood Elementary School in March and April and five times near Sooner Elementary School from November 2013 to February, according the charges filed.

The affidavit indicates Villegas sold approximately 13.8 grams of methamphetamines from March 2013 to January to an undercover Norman police officer, acquiring proceeds of $1,240.

During the last transaction listed on the affidavit, the affiant purchased $600 of methamphetamines from Villegas on Feb. 10.

According to an enhancement page filed with the charges, Villegas has previously been convicted in Cleveland County of attempting to elude police while endangering others in November 2009.
