Police seek help finding robbery suspect

NORMAN — Norman police are asking the public to help them find a suspect they believe robbed Comfort Inn and Suites last month.

Police said the suspect is described as a black male, approximately 27 years old, about 5 foot 11 inches and 180 pounds with a slender body build and light facial hair. He was seen wearing a white hoodie with a Fila emblem on the front, a beanie and dark pants.

The vehicle the suspect fled the scene in a red Ford Mustang with a tan convertible top.

Police responded to the armed robbery Dec. 13 at the hotel at 840 Copperfield Drive. Upon arrival officers determined the male suspect walked into the business brandishing a black, semi-auto handgun and demanded money.

The suspect then obtained an undetermined amount of money and fled the scene in a vehicle parked near the hotel. The same suspect is believed to have robbed a Comfort Inn Hotel in Ardmore on Dec. 12.

The incident is being investigated by members of the Norman Police Department Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone who might have information on the suspect is urged to call Detective Brett Willer at 217-7742 or Crime Stoppers at 366-7867.
