Police saturating southeast, central Norman

NORMAN — Norman police announced that this month, the department will perform concentrated proactive efforts in southeast and central Norman.

Patrol units will focus in and near the area bordered by Alameda Street, 24th Avenue Southeast, Lindsey Street and 12th Avenue Southeast.

In addition, Porter Avenue near the intersections of Robinson Street, Gray Street and Main Street will receive additional patrols.

Officers will focus their efforts in and near these areas on the reduction of traffic collisions and criminal activities through an increased presence, traffic enforcement of collision-related violations, proactive patrols and other continued efforts in working with those who live, work and frequently visit the area.
