Former rehab center employee faces larceny charge
A former employee at Medical Park West Rehabilitation in Norman was charged Wednesday after pills of Lortab were discovered missing at the end of his shift, records show.
Andrew R. Sullivan, 24, of Norman was charged with larceny of a controlled dangerous substance in Cleveland County District Court.
According to the affidavit filed with the charge, at the beginning of Sullivan’s shift 150 tablets of Lortab were counted and logged, but there were only 120 tablets at the end of his shift on Dec. 31.
Police contacted Sullivan Jan. 3 and Sullivan told police he only passed on the medication passed to him and that he was busy and hadn’t counted the medication when he signed for it. Several attempts of contact were made after Sullivan agreed to a polygraph test, but police were unable to make contact, the affidavit said.
When police contacted the director of nursing a few days later, she reported Sullivan had not shown up for work since the medication was reported missing and by policy for failure to report to work Sullivan was terminated, the affidavit said.
