NORMAN — The driver of a motorcycle died Sunday afternoon after being severely injured in a wreck near Alameda Drive and Oliphant Avenue.
Norman police, fire and EMSStat responded to the collision at 3:11 p.m., which involved a 2008 Ford F150 and a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Preliminary investigation of the wreck indicated the F150 truck was traveling eastbound on Alameda Drive when it turned towards a private drive in front of the westbound motorcycle.
The driver and one passenger of the truck were not injured, but a second passenger did report minor injuries that did not require immediate treatment. No other vehicles or persons were involved in the wreck.
Police are withholding the names of those involved pending notification of family.
The collision remains under investigation by the Norman and OU Police Collision Investigation Reconstruction Team.
