NORMAN — Authorities are looking for two arson suspects after a plastic playground was set on fire Sunday night at Woodslawn Park.
Norman Fire Department extinguished the fire around 8 p.m. Sunday at the city owned park near Berry Road and Robinson Street. Deputy Fire Chief Jim Bailey said when fire fighters arrived, the playground was totally consumed.
Preliminary damage estimates of the playground set are around $7,000.
Bailey said there were reports of two individuals, possibly children, who ran from the park after the fire started. Anyone knows who the individuals are is encouraged to call the fire marshal at 292-9780.
