NORMAN — The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office and Center for Children and Families Inc. recently partnered to help families provide their children with winter coats. The families reside in rural parts of Cleveland County.
CCFI gave 75 coats to CCSO. Deputy Brandon Hilbun, assistant community policing deputy, found children who needed coats.
About 45 coats were donated to Slaughterville Baptist Church. Pastor Greg Mack thanked CCFI for their donations.
The remaining jackets were given to the Maguire Farm Store in Noble. Sheriff Joe Lester thanked CCFI for their generosity.
“It’s great to have an organization like CCFI, who always stands ready to assist the children in our community who are a little less fortunate, to be partnered with us,” Lester said. “CCFI is making a difference in improving the quality of life for families and children in Cleveland County, and we at the sheriff’s office thank CCFI for that.”
