Men charged in separate cases of indecent acts with children

NORMAN — Two Cleveland County men were arrested last week for charges related to lewd acts to a child.

Donnie Ray Hoelscher, 69, of Lexington, was charged with lewd or indecent proposals to a child under 16. He was arrested Thursday and bonded out Thursday evening after posting $10,000 bond.

The charge filed stated the incident occurred around Sept. 1. The document stated that Hoelscher unlawfully, knowingly, intentionally and feloniously made an oral indecent proposal to an 8-year-old female.

In a separate case, Ryan Joe Knight, 23, of Moore, was charged with second-degree rape and lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.

Knight was arrested Thursday and remains in custody. No bond amount has been set for him as of Monday afternoon.

The charges filed said the incidents occurred around May 1.

The first count, second degree rape, state that Knight had engaged in intercourse with a 14-year-old female. The affidavit stated the two were involved in a dating relationship.

The second count, lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, stated that Knight was knowingly and intentionally lying in bed with the same victim during the same incident, both unclothed, in a lewd or lascivious manner.
