NORMAN — Cedar Country firefighters were dispatched to a RV fire just before 6 p.m. Monday at 18401 Bryant Road in Lexington.
Shortly after, Cedar Country requested mutual aid from Slaughterville Fire Department for one brush tank and a tanker. Slaughterville Fire Chief Paul Long said an RV motor home caught fire. The cause is under investigation.
No injuries were reported, but about 10 to 15 minutes after the initial call, a first responder said the fire could potentially threaten other residents.
First responders also indicated that a kind of accelerant caused explosions.
Long said the fire was contained in a little under two hours. Around 12 firefighters responded to the call. Long said Cedar Country had their engine and tankers on scene in addition to the mutual aid they provided.
