NORMAN — A 20-year-old man who allegedly stole a vehicle at gunpoint Thursday morning in southeast Norman was apprehended in Oklahoma City.
Police Capt. Tom Easley said at 11:22 a.m., the victim notified police of the stolen vehicle from 1100 Oak Tree. Police located the vehicle being driven by Michael Aaron Vinson, of Norman, near 12th Avenue Southeast and Lindsey Street.
A police pursuit ensued and ended in the 4500 block of Southeast 89th Street and Sunnylane Road in Oklahoma City, where Vinson was taken into custody.
Norman officers were assisted by officers from other law enforcement agencies.
Officers arrested Vinson on complaints of robbery or attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon; possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony; eluding a peace officer; larceny of an auto; leaving the scene of an accident and no valid driver’s license.
