NORMAN — Seven people were transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident in Noble at about 3:32 p.m. Sunday.
The wreck occurred at 60th Avenue Southeast and Post Oak Road. Norman Police Lt. Brent Barbour said none of the individuals had critical or life threatening injuries.
The wreck involved a 2000 Lincoln Town Car driven by Bobby Damron, 50, of Norman and 2008 Chevrolet Impala driven by Josue S. Cano, 25, of Oklahoma City.
indicated the Impala was southbound when it failed to yield from the stop sign and collided with the eastbound Town Car, Barbour said.
Five out of the six people inside of the Town Car were injured. Both occupants in the Impala were injured as well.
All of the injured individuals were transported initially to Norman Regional Hospital.
Roads were closed for about one hour and the accident remains under investigation, Barbour said.
Norman police, EMSStat and fire responded to the scene as well as Noble EMSStat, fire and police. Oklahoma Electric Cooperative also responded to fix a pole damaged during the incident.
