NORMAN — A Moore man pleaded guilty to nine counts of child sexual abuse and was convicted Monday in Cleveland County District Court, records show.

Joseph Michael Siford, 41, pleaded guilty to six counts of first-degree rape by instrumentation, two counts of lewd acts with a child under 16 and one count of first-degree attempted rape.

Siford was essentially sentenced to 30 years in prison, Assistant District Attorney Lori Puckett said. He was sentenced to 20 years for two of the crimes but will serve time for those charges concurrently.

Puckett said all the charges were 85 percent crimes, so Siford must serve at least 85 percent of the 30-year jail sentence.

Siford was part of a fugitive trio that fled to Vancouver, Wash., in August after search warrants were issued for he and his wife, Danyale’s, home and the home of their friend, Michelle Danae Walker, 44, of Noble. The three allegedly sexually abused a 13-year-old girl.

The trio was found by U.S. marshals shortly after fleeing and was charged in September 2012.

Danyale Siford, 36, was convicted of a misdemeanor count of failure to report child abuse in January. She was sentenced to one year in county jail, with credit to the time she had already served.

Siford was released from jail in June, according to a sheriff’s return on criminal sentence.

Walker was originally charged with three counts of forcible oral sodomy, first-degree rape by instrumentation and the production of juvenile photography. Fifteen felony counts were added in March, for a total of 20.

According to court records, charges were amended to the following:

· Four counts of rape by instrumentation.

· Three counts of rape by instrumentation in concert with Joseph Siford.

· Eight counts of lewd molestation or indecent proposal to a child.

· One count of producing child pornography.

· Three counts of making, selling or soliciting child pornography.

· One count of soliciting sexual conduct with a minor.

A motion hearing for Walker has been set for 9 a.m. Dec. 13 in District Judge Tracy Schumacher’s courtroom.

Background information: According to the affidavit filed with charges against the trio, Walker reportedly introduced the 13-year-old girl to the Sifords after she “met them through a Facebook site called ‘Party Friends,’ which she later learned was a meeting spot for ‘swingers.’”

Walker and the Sifords allegedly engaged in sexual contact with each other in the child’s presence. One encounter between Joe Siford and the girl was video-taped, the affidavit stated.

The crimes allegedly occurred multiple times in Noble at Walker’s residence, in Moore at the Siford’s residence and at Thunderbird Lake in Norman.

Search warrants filed Aug. 21 in Cleveland County District Court show that the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office seized 24 items from the Sifords’ home and 19 items from Walker’s home.
