NORMAN — OU football players Jalen Walter Saunders, 20, and Cortez Ikeem Johnson, 20, each were charged with misdemeanors Monday at the Cleveland County Court Clerk’s Office.

Each were charged with possession of marijuana. The pair were were arrested early Sunday morning.

Saunders, a junior wide receiver, had seven catches for 108 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown catch, in the Sooners’ 24-17 victory over TCU on Saturday.

The slot receiver missed the first four games this season while waiting to have his eligibility cleared by the NCAA after transferring from Fresno State. Over the last eight games, Saunders had made 53 catches for 776 yards.

Johnson, a sophomore defensive back, hasn’t played this season. He transferred to OU from Arizona last spring and had redshirted due to NCAA transfer rules.

OU has not commented on the arrests or charges.

Felony filings

The following people were charged with felony counts in the Cleveland County Court Clerk’s Office:

· Rita Kay Lackey, 45, possession of controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia

· Joshua Michael Colley, 31, two counts of second degree burglary

· Devin Sean Oullette, 23, falsely personate another to create liability, driving with a canceled/suspended/revoked license

· Deken Lee Oldham, 29, possession of controlled dangerous substance, knowingly concealing stolen property, eluding/attempting to elude a police officer, driving without a drivers license, removing proper or affixing improper license plate

· Marquis Deon Joyce, 20, possession of controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia

· Sean Lee Moore, 32, larceny of an automobile, eluding/attempting to elude a police officer

· Byron Manrique Ronquillo, 26, possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm after former felony conviction, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing an officer

· Randy Lee James, 46, possession of controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia

· Brant Elk Solomon, 31, possession of controlled dangerous substance
