NORMAN — Home Depot plans to assist military veterans in translating their military experience into civilian terms. With its “Mission: Transition” initiative, Home Depot in Midwest City will host Civilian Career Workshops from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 27.

They are open to any member of the military or veteran transitioning to any civilian career. Individuals can attend either workshop.

The company’s human resources professionals, in collaboration with veteran associates, will conduct the half-day sessions focusing on job-search strategies, resumé optimization and interview tips that are applicable to a search in most any industry or with most any employer.

The workshops are part of “Mission: Transition,” which is aimed at arming U.S. service men and women across the nation with the knowledge and resources needed to successfully transition into the civilian work force. Home Depot will host more than 100 of these workshops across the country on Oct. 27.

Registration for the events is now open. Attendees must register online in advance at careers.homedepot.com/military. Home Depot in Midwest City is located at 1600 S. Sooner Road.
