NORMAN — A Norman man sustained a gunshot wound Saturday morning in his apartment, and later died after transportation to Norman Regional Hospital, according to Norman police.
The man called Norman police around 9:11 a.m. saying he had been the victim of a shooting. Police and other emergency crews responded to the 2100 block of West Brooks Street and found the victim in his apartment.
Norman Police Capt. Tom Easley said the victim is a black man in his 20s, but further identification is being withheld pending family notification. Where the man’s body was shot is also being withheld.
Investigators are working the case as a homicide. There are no suspects in custody at this time.
