Published November 08, 2009 01:15 am - Edna Lavitta Abney, 83, died Thursday, Nov. 5, in Lexington. She was born Aug. 24, 1926, to Everett Preston and Iva Lavina (Glasgow) Smith in Lexington. Edna is survived by her children Loyal and Kathy Jennings of Purcell, Doyle and Karen Jennings, Pat Yeary, Janey and Keith Kirkland, all of Wayne, Mark and Susie Abney of Maysville; siblings Ruth Moore of Broken Bow, Pearl and RJ Abney of Wayne; 12 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hillside Cemetery under the direction of Wadley's Funeral Service.
