Regents to meet in Tulsa

NORMAN — The Stephenson Life Sciences Research Center Protein Production Core Facility project and the Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium Improvements, Phase V1, project are among topics to be discussed by the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents at its regular meeting today and Thursday in Tulsa and Claremore.

The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. today in the faculty/staff lounge at the OU-Tulsa Schusterman Center, 4502 E. 41st St., with items submitted by Cameron University, followed by those submitted by OU.

The meeting will continue at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Executive Board Room (Room 208) at Rogers State University, 1701 W. Will Rogers Blvd., with items submitted by RSU.

Funding from a National Institutes of Health grant to establish a Center of Biomedical Research Excellence in Structural Biology will be used to help create the Protein Production Core Facility. The renovation plan includes reconfiguration of a laboratory area on the second floor, resulting in a secure, stand-alone laboratory with central hallway access.

Major components of the stadium improvements Phase VI project include refurbishment of the east-side suites, the Santee Lounge and the Chesapeake Energy Stadium Club, as well as refurbishment at the Siegfried Strength and Conditioning Complex.

The next meeting of the OU Board of Regents is scheduled for Dec. 6 and 7 in Oklahoma City.
