Seats still open for MNTC’s Summer Youth Academy

NORMAN — Seats are still available in Moore Norman Technology Center’s 19th annual Summer Youth Academy.

Students ages 9 to 14 can choose from classes in technical, engineering, health and medical fields, as well as personal interest classes.

The weeklong classes will meet from either 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m Monday to Thursday. The first week of classes will begin June 2.

Enrollment may be taken at 364-5763, ext. 7260, mntechnology.com/summer-youth-academy or in person at MNTC’s Information and Enrollment Center, inside Main Entrance B at the Franklin Road Campus, 4701 12th Ave. NW in Norman, or at the South Penn campus, SW 134th and Penn in south Oklahoma City.

Half-day classes are $75; MNTC provides all materials and supplies. The only class fee exceptions are the MED Camp and the CSI Camp, which are each $140.

Classes that still have openings are Beaded Bands, Cash for Cupcakes, CSI Camp, Digital Scrapbooking, Fun with Spanish, Guitar, Looming Bands, Med Camp, Movie Making, My Body My Life (taught by Norman police officers for girls), Puppet Magic and REAL Men (taught by police officers for boys).
