Dary recent K-State guest

David Dary, former director of the OU School of Journalism and a Norman resident, recently delivered the 13th Huck Boyd Lecture at Kansas State University.

Dary, a Manhattan native and Kansas State graduate, was invited to give the lecture, which honors the late Kansas newspaper publisher from Phillipsburg, Kan.

In conjunction with the lecture, K-State opened “Dary Trails: the Library and Papers of David Dary,” an exhibit showcasing selected Dary volumes and personal papers now housed in Hale Library.

Dary, a prolific author of Western and Midwest lore, gave a talk titled “Community Journalism and Other Stuff in a Changing World.”
