Tickets available for March 29 Taste of Home Cooking School

— The Taste of Home Cooking School Swing Into Spring program is coming to Norman March 29 at the Nancy O’Brian Center for Performing Arts, 1809 Stubbeman Ave. Doors open at noon and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. The Taste of Home Cooking School Swing Into Spring show is brought to you locally by The Norman Transcript and features guests Gallo Family Vineyards, McCormick, Taste of Home Entertaining and Viva.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Advance tickets are available at The Norman Transcript, 215 E. Comanche St. or by mail. Dust off your spatulas, heat up your ovens and join The Transcript at the Taste of Home Cooking School Swing Into Spring show. Culinary specialist Jamie Dunn will whip up some spring dishes right before your eyes.
Dunn is one of nine Taste of Home culinary specialists who travel across the U.S. bringing food and fun to thousands of home cooks.
“It’s going to be a great time,” Dunn said. “I love giving people new ideas for meals and seeing how excited they are to go home and try them.”
Looking for great recipes to serve at a spring brunch? Perhaps quick dinner fixes are more your style? There will be something for everyone. Experienced cooks or those just testing the waters will see demonstrations on some of the best recipes for spring. Dunn also will share helpful tips and tricks to ensure cooking endeavors are successful.
What else can you expect at the show? Get there early to visit booths from local vendors. Pampered Chef, Southern Living at Home, Mary Kay and Tupperware are just a few of the local vendors represented. Additionally, gift bags full of coupons, information and the Taste of Home Brand Name Cookbook, featuring 157 new tantalizing recipes will be given away. Prize drawings will be held during intermission and every dish prepared on stage will be given away at the end of the demonstration.
