The South Canadian-Crosstimbers Corral of Westerners International meets 7 p.m. Monday at the Charles Russell Center, the old Faculty Club, on the University of Oklahoma campus. Historian Pendleton Woods of Oklahoma City will discuss the dawn of statehood in Oklahoma. VFW Post 4890 District 10 convention will be May 10 in Norman at the Legion Hall and Post 4890 will be the host with STTE Commander John Petras. Members will be asked for their help in organizing the meeting and a lunch to be served. Cross Timbers Rotary Club Cross Timbers Rotary Club meets 6 p.m. every Tuesday at Denny's Restaurant, 2535 W. Norman Area Land Conservancy Norman Area Land Conservancy will have its annual meeting 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Sarkeys' Annex, at the corner of Main Street and Ponca Avenue.
