Better Breathers

Better Breathers pulmonary support group for individuals with COPD and their family members will meet noon the first Friday of each month at Norman Specialty Hospital, 1210 W. Robinson St. For more information and to make reservations, call 321-8824. Lunch will be provided. There is no cost for attending.

Embroiderers Guild of America

Anyone interested in embroidery in any of its many forms is invited to become a part of the Norman Chapter of The Embroiderers' Guild of America. The evening group meets 7 to 9 p.m. the second Monday and the day group meets 1 to 3 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are in Room 401 at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church. For more information, call chapter president Donna Goodwin at 364-4455.

Norman Area Iris Society

The Norman Area Iris Society meets 7 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month at the Reaves Center in Reaves Park. Anyone interested in iris cultivation or gardening may attend.

NAMI

National Alliance on Mental Illness Cleveland County, a United Way member agency, support groups for families of individuals with a mental illness meets the first Tuesday of each month. Mental health educational sessions are held every third Tuesday.

All meetings are at 7 p.m. at the Edsel Ford House, 107 State Drive (located off Main Street in front of Griffin hospital. No registration or fees are required. For more information call 701-2078 or namicc@csbi.org.

Norman Kiwanis

The Norman Kiwanis Club meets 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays with a luncheon, club news and a speaker in the activity room of the First Christian Church, 220 S. Webster Ave.
