The renamed Oklahoma Watercolor Association is expanding its horizons and broadening its scope to include creative opportunities for more artists.
The new name for the organization is The Oklahoma Watermedia Association.
OWA exhibits and show will now accept entries in most water-based media on varied surfaces, including paper, canvas (regular or watercolor), board, linen and others.
Artists working mainly in acrylics and other water-based materials are invited to join OWA and submit their works in all of the association's exhibitions. In addition, they can meet other artists, join in weekly sketching and painting sessions, attend monthly meetings with demonstrations by guest artists, receive the OWA monthly newsletter and be eligible for a free Web page on the OWA site.
For membership information, log on to the OWA Web site at www.watercolorok.com, call Margie Gaeddert at 751-9545 or e-mail mgaeddert@cox.net.
