School bells
Ms. Cooper's second grade class has opened a class mercantile. Students have been keeping track of their money and making change when needed. Students also are fined by their peers when needed. Each week students will get a chance to shop at the classroom mercantile for items from small stickers to lunch with the teachers.
Fifth-graders finished their colonial America unit with a reenactment of the first feast among the Wampagnoag Indians and Pilgrims.
First-graders celebrated Thanksgiving with a sharing feast or making peanut butter turkeys, wearing turkey hats they had made in class. Ms. Brinker's and Ms. Jackson's classes made leaf wreaths and turkey decorations made from toilet paper rolls.
Family Fun Night/ Holiday Art will be 6-7 p.m. Tuesday. Grade levels are responsible for creating a product that families can make and take home.
